Hungry but don’t know where should go?
Come to take a look of this for a while..
If you come into our regency, it is a little wire if you are getting far from the food. From the previous article perhaps you may know about our special food at Bengkayang regency are various such as lempok, tempoyak, lemang, tumpi, pekasam, and many more.
Well, for the traditional food it is easier for you
to find it in our regency especially when Gawai Dayak comes (especially lemang and tumpi). If you are really interested at lempok and tempoyak, this month (July to August) it will be easier for you to find it because this month is the season of Durian.
Not with standing with that, by this article I will give you such kind of suggestion about the place that you can visit in order to filling your energy and nutrition while you are visiting our lovely hometown, Bengkayang, especially for common food that you can mostly find around our nation. Here are some places for your consideration:
• “FLEXI Cafe”
This café is very famous in Bengkayang especially for its teens because the first purpose for coming to this place is not only because of the food, but mostly about the beautiful scenery at twilight and night (only open at this time). They like to make such kind of celebration together with their friends such as the celebration of birthday party because it is free from the shade so that we can see the dark sky with the stars (if the weather is bright of course..).
The location of this café is on the hill aside with FLEXI Office, the place for paying the telephone bills. By coming to this place you are served by the picture of our regency from above along with music played in the café. If your purpose is not only about solving your problem when you fell hungry, the problem of daily pressure and stress may be helped by coming to this place. The menu is mostly similar with other café such as fried rice, meatball, fried or boiled noodles, juice, coffee, tea, etc.
• “Mandolin Café”
This café is located aside the Sebalo River close to the medium size of bridge to cross the river at the edge of our main street. Although it is at the edge of the street, but trust me it is clean and the place is comfortable because we do not need a chair to sit but just sit there on the high floor. The food here is very delicious especially for pecel ayam menu. For the other food and drinks, they are merely the same but the way they serve it is more attractive in catching our will to taste the food.
The scenery that you can see on this place is also interesting because you are close to the Sebalo River so that you can also enjoy the flow of slightly water. This place is suitable to be visited together with partner at work and family.
• Pasar Hongkong” Bengkayang
People mostly know about “Pasar Hongkong” at Singkawang, but in our regency we also have it too. The street vendor who sells the food is standing along the edge of the street only at night. The foods are various such as fried rice, nasi uduk, meatball, fried or boiled noodles, gado-gado, soto, complete rice with vegetables and meat, eeg, tofu, soybean cake, etc.
The situation when enjoy dinner here is very nice because there is no strictly “rule” in the way we eat the food (everyone like to eat at this place, from the middle up people to the lower level of people). Everybody just feel comfort with this situation together with seeing the condition of surrounding at night at the edge of the street. This place is one of my favorite place to have dinner with my friends or family.
• “ADE Restaurant”
Although mostly the people in our regency is dominated by Dayaknese, Malay, and Chienese, but this restaurant serves us with Padang Food taste of food. This is not the only one Padang food restaurant but the taste of flavor and recipe is stronger than the others. This restaurant is already exist since I was child so that it is difficult for me to try the other place instead of feeling satisfy with the food.
The situation inside is just like the common restaurant which using the chair and table with a special place for the cashier. For me, I do not really like with this situation so that I usually prefer to eat the food at home with my family rather than finishing my food there. This place also becomes my suggestion for you because it is a twenty four hours restaurant that will always ready to serve you.
Finally, those are my advice about the place that you can visit. If there is any problem about that, you may raise your hand.. hehe. Well, enjoy it, everyone!
