Hi guys…. Have you ever heard Sentarum National Park before?? Hmm, I believe all of you have been heard it. The park is home to many endemic species of flora and fauna. Species of fish in this area about 265 kinds, one of them is Arwana fish. This fish is the most expensive fish; because many people have believed that this fish was giving the lucky for its keeper, so many people would be keep it. Arwana is pet animal from Kapuas Hulu that is the famous fish in the world.
Arwana is Asian fish, especially in Indonesia. It can be found in West Kalimantan on the Sentarum Lake at Kapuas Hulu. Its habitat can be found in Suhaid precisely. Although Arwana fish can be found in others area but the best Arwana is in Suhaid, because of the location is appropriate for its life, it can influence its color and the size of its body. Actually fishers in this area put dozens of Arwana parents in the pool so they could live like in the wild, it made them easy to laying egg. Arwana starts to laying eggs around the age of 4-5 years, at that age its length of about 60 to 90 cm and one parent can spawn up to 40 items. After they are being lain eggs their babies take from the pool and put in other pool, in order to they get nicer treatment from the fisher like their food and place. After they are having nicer treatment about two to five months age they already to sell. Arwana fish in local languages at Kapuas Hulu is called fish Siluk, Silok, Khayangan fish and they are often also known as Dragon fish because the shape of it’s face and color as same as dragon. There are many kinds of color of this fish that is decided of its cost such as super red Arwana, green, yellow, white and silver. From of it the most famous and expensive Arwana is super red Arwana because of Nature in Suhaid and surrounding region known as seeds or seedlings super red Arwana is good quality. This is because the original landscape of that area, close to Lake Sentarum. Because of that the area be special place and was being protected by government
