Hy guys, have you ever heard Betung Kerihun? If you have no heard it, I would like to give you some information about that. Betung Kerihun is a national park in the province of west Borneo at Kapuas Hulu which is became famous place in Asia. It was established in 1995, and the size of its place is 800.000 H. Betung Kerihun National park is hilly and mountainous that is a combination of Betung and Kerihun Mountain. The other name of Betung Kerihun is “Bentuang Karimun” .
The Park has about 1.261 kinds of plant and it has ecosystems such as Dataran rendah, Sekunder tua, Dipterocarpus, Sub-montana, and Montana forest. Because of it has unique of unfolded nature therefore its place became Central of forest in West Kalimantan. Betung Kerihun Park also has 300 species of birds, at least 162 fish and 54 mammals. Do you know that the park is home to endangered Borneo Orangutan? And It offers us how challenges the place is. Beside that, the most interesting of the place is lived seven tribes Dayak such as Punan Hovongan, Punan Bukat, Taman, Kantuk, Kayan, Tamambaloh, and Iban therefore if you visit to there; you will see the multiethnic of ttheir daily activity. They live at “Lanting house” which is adrift on the river which the foundation by using tree bars. The livelihoods of Betung Kerihun’s people are fisher. They are looking after Semah fish in their pool to be exported to Malay in Sarawak, Malaysia. I think if you are having bored in city, Betung Kerihun Park is good place for you, because the flow of clear water of river from waterfall, chirp of birds, and the sound of others animal make your holiday will be fun.
